Salmon + Salmon = Trout, Trout + Trout = Salmon, Ludicrous = U.S. & Japanese Scientists

Tokyo University researchers are fooling around the lab to engineer a trout from salmon parents. Back at the Idaho farm, researchers talking withare trying to engineer salmon from trout parents using U.S. tax dollars.
And, no, they are not stopping there. Next on the mad scientists’ to-do list are sturgeons, paddlefish, tuna and mackerel.
The excuse for this insanity is that they are hoping to preserve endangered fish.
It seems to me they are not preserving anything. They are engineering brand new species of a sort. And I for one, don’t want their science experiments on my family’s dinner plate.
To blame for these monstrosities arezoology professor Joseph Cloud, who according to the Associated Press is leading the U.S. government-funded sockeye project. In , Marine Biologist Goro Yoshizaki, is leading the University’s research.
AP quotes Yoshizaki from an e-mail interview, “we can save space, cost and labor.” Ah, ha! Now we get to the truth! It’s not preserving endangered fish they are really after, it’s money. Always money.
