Open house at the Sheriff’s place

Here are some photos from the recent Malibu-Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station open house. From horses to robots, they are ready to rescue the distressed and arrest the criminals.
One of the sights was a car that had been smashed in an accident. The deputies told attendees about the drunk teens who rolled and skidded across the highway and hit a pole. “They are paralyzed and messed up for the rest of their lives,” a deputy told our group of children, who were wide eyed at the sight of the vehicle.
Other hits of the day were the sheriff’s helicopter, a bomb squad robot and Team Sheriff Racing, which showed off its suped-up 1987 Buick Grand National that featured a 274 cu. v6, nonturbo, 580 hp engine with aluminum heads and Hogan intake, whatever that all means. The kids loved it.
