Solution For Keys Lost Right In Your Own Home

Posted by infinitygoods on February 26, 2008

I don’t know if it’s premature old age, if it’s too many other things on the brain, or if everybody is like this from time to time, but a few years ago I started losing my keys all over the house, except in a logical spot. Being tired of searching frantically and of making myself late to boot, I hung a decorative wooden box on the wall right behind the front door. It took a couple of days to remember to put my keys in there, but the training period was fast. I also put in there our sunglasses, a spare garage door remote, a spare set of house and car keys and a pen in case I need to sign for something at the door. It works for me and now I’m always ready to go.

So has this happened to you??? Or is it just me?

I do the same thing. This way I never lose my keys, gloves or home sunglasses. Whenever my son forgets to put my keys back, I go nuts looking for them. *lol*

I found my keys in the refrigerator in a paper bag that had milk in it. I was in a hurry and didn’t take the milk out of the bag, they keys somehow fell in the bag. Lucky I had spares. Whew!

I do the same thing with a little bowl on the edge of the piano in the front room. If I leave my keys somewhere else, my husband will pick them up and put them there.

That’s a great idea, but how do I train my husband to put HIS keys in there? I’m kinda sorta tired to being asked, “Honey, have you seen my keys?”

  5. I hang them on the coat rack by the door. Otherwise, I’m hopeless!
