Infinity Goods Store Is Great!

Posted by infinitygoods on February 5, 2008

Since Shannon’s theme this week at Rocks In My Dryer is about sharing our favorite Internet store, it’s time for a shameless plug — it’s the Infinity Goods store of course!

There are many of us mommy bloggers who attempt to make a bit of spare change for our families by being an Amazon associate, or selling crafts at Etsy, selling our own products, or selling a few ads on our blogs. And I ask you, don’t you think it would be better to support a mommy blogger that you’ve come to know and trust through her blog where you get useful information or entertainment year round, rather than buying directly from some large, greedy corporation which only cares about putting lots of money in their own pockets and doesn’t care in the least about your family?

I’m an associate for Amazon. Everything and anything that Amazon sells, you can get through Infinity Goods for the exact same price and with all the security of Amazon. Next time you purchase from Amazon I hope you’ll do it through my Infinity Goods Store. Or if not through mine, at least do it through another mommy’s store.

Let’s all help each other out. Together we can all succeed.

Another Thank You To My Readers; I’m So Blessed!

Posted by infinitygoods on November 24, 2007

I want to thank all of you who regularly come by my website and all the new people who shopped my Black Friday sales.  You truly are a blessing to this small family especially at a time when our strapped-for-money-church decided to get rid of such a large percentage of its employees, yours truly included.

God has once again turned a negative into a positive.  I now have time to be home and take care of my family.  I have the time to blog for all of you readers from all over the world, and that is really exciting to see all the different countries who read me and people who comment and e-mail me too.   And very importantly I still get to directly work for God in a small way because my Infinity Goods store mostly specializes in products for God-loving families or as our slogan says, A Marketplace for God’s People.

You, my dear readers have rewarded me with a fast-growing blog, repeatedly one of the fastest growing on WordPress and with an Amazon Affiliate website which can help make a difference  for a family who is used to directly serving God and serving the families in our parish.  As I liked to say when people would ask me why I would be willing to work for a church, it’s because I am addicted to working directly for God.  There aren’t too many opportunities to work DIRECTLY for God, especially for a wife and mother.

So I am finding myself thanking you once again.  It is thanks to your support in reading my blog and purchasing from my website, that I am able to continue this addiction I have to spreading the word about God, spreading His love, and helping His people.

PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR BLESSING ME WITH ALL OF YOU!

The morning after Thanksgiving is the biggest shopping day of the year here in the United States and it even has it’s own name, Black Friday. While most people go shopping at ungodly hours like 4 to 6 a.m., I usually stay snug in my bed just so I don’t have to fight the crowds. This year we can have our cake and eat it too. With our store, infinitygoods.com, being an Amazon Affiliate, I was told of a special Black Friday opportunity. If you link to my store on Friday, November 23, 2007 between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, you will be able to stay home in your PJs and take advantage of special affiliate sales. No crowds, no bumper to bumper lines in the parking lot, you won’t even have to get showered and dressed before the sun is up, yet you can still shop to your little heart’s content and enjoy all the Black Friday sales, deals and savings. It works for me and it will work for you too. For more Works For Me Wednesday participants visit Rocks in My Dryer.

So do you run out of Christmas or Hanukkah gift ideas, or have difficult people to shop for who don’t need, or claim they don’t want, anything?

Have I got the thing for you!

It’s Chili’s Christmas List Carnival, also known as Holiday Shopping Carnival, which I am participating in!

Chili came up with a great idea, where we can all share ideas linked to places we can shop right online, or for those of us who are crafty, there will even be homemade gifts linked to the how-tos.

So be sure to come back to see me on Nov. 12 for the Christmas List Carnival (and daily too, because I LOVE a blog home full of great reading guests like you, and I’m participating in NaBloPoMo all month, so there’s lots to read.)

And if you want a head start on your shopping, you’re invited to stop by my Amazon Affiliate store at infinitygoods.com right now!

Only 27 shopping days till Hanukkah! Only 48 shopping days till Christmas!

NaNoWriMo — Ready, Set, Write a Novel in 30 Days

Posted by infinitygoods on October 19, 2007

As I was hopping from one blog to another yesterday, I discovered an 8-year-old phenomenon which has been sweeping the WWW community of writers and bloggers.

National Novel Writing Month is coming up in November. The point is not to write the greatest novel ever written or the next best-seller, but rather to find the dedication to write 50, 000 words in 30 days and to refrain our dreadful inner editors which cripple so many, even professional writers.

If you succeed in writing that novel, or should we really say that first draft, you get bragging rights. Winners receive a web icon and a certificate, but more importantly, they get the empowerment that comes with the accomplishment of such a challenge and the knowledge that they succeeded.

What started with 21 friends challenging themselves in 1999, with six of them finishing their 50,000-word novels, grew to 42, 000 participants in 2004 and 79, 813 participants last November. The number of winners was 12, 948 or about 16 percent of participants.

To help you succeed in your endeavor, Chris Baty, founder of NaNoWriMo, has written No Plot? No Problem!: A Low-Stress, High-Velocity Guide to Writing a Novel in 30 Days (also available as The No Plot? No Problem! Novel-Writing Kit), and has grown his website into a nonprofit corporation, The Office of Letters and Light, with forums, FAQs, and 500 affiliated chapters around the world.

Baty is also reaching out to students with the Young Writers Program, where more than 300 schools participated last year. Students set their own goals, but the same principle of refraining their inner editor applies.

I’m considering joining this NaNoWriMo phenomenon. It would be an interesting experiment. Can a wife and mother with a blog and an on-line Amazon-affiliate store, write about 1,700 words a day when there’s also homeschooling and life playing interference?

I’ve written that many words a day, a lot more actually when I was a full-time journalist, but I didn’t have a child to babysit and homeschool in those days. And I’ve never attempted a novel before. What do you think? Is it even remotely possible without creating a novel orphan?

Maybe I should sign up our son, too. After all, he has been working on a novel since the age of 8. It’s about time he took the time to finish it, isn’t it?

StumbleUpon Toolbar Stumble It!
